About English Vallbona

Dear student,

Let me introduce myself: I’m Esther, the teacher and founder of English Vallbona. I began my teaching journey at just 12 years old, when I was already filling my afternoons with tutoring and babysitting younger children. I quickly built a good reputation in my hometown among mothers, as I had a real gift for it, especially with children with neurodivergences or learning difficulties.

At 18, in addition to continuing to fill my schedule with the tasks mentioned above, I began combining them with English classes at an academy in Vilafranca (I’m originally from there). Over the years, I continued my university studies in Translation and Interpreting while my role as a language teacher in different academies, schools, activity centers, camps, companies, and town councils gained more and more presence in my schedule. Finally, when I finished my degree in translation in 2018, I dedicated all my time to gaining further experience in the world of language teaching and exploring other fields such as children’s and youth leisure education, entrepreneurship, and educational content creation.

English Vallbona was born in September 2021 in response to two concerns I carried within me. The first was my desire to be able to design classes and courses adapted to the needs of each student and level, something I had seen work successfully through years of experience. The second was the conviction that students deserve personalized, high-quality teaching without having to pay high fees or spend years and years repeating the same level.

That is why we work here with our own materials, clear objectives, a flexible methodology, and a practical approach that puts language at the service of each student. Everything we do aims to make learning English useful, approachable, and sustainable over time.
